Two Tools I Rely On

By: John Gibson

As you build your team's capacity, it's helpful to find ways to work smarter as a team and as a leader. Here's some tools that I've personally come to rely on time and time again.

Cloze
Is every day a blur? Are you tired of missing meetings? Not keeping up with key volunteers or staff? Cloze is a virtual assistant that will help you know when to email someone or how long it’s been since you called your Mom. Cloze is app and computer-based that syncs with your contacts, social media platforms and CRM. Hands down, Cloze is a great way to get organized and stay on track. But you don’t have to just take my word for it.

Trello
Project management can be a dreaded phrase for Pastors and right brain people. When you start talking about structure, deadlines and processes, it can make some people tense and start looking for emergency exits. But, process is how everything happens. Without it things don’t grow, solutions aren’t sustained, and problems don’t go away.

In my opinion, Project Matrices, R.A.S.C.I charts, and flowcharts are antiquated versions of a good idea. Trello is am amazing free tool that simplifies any project, process or strategy. It's a linear timeline tool and task stacker that is collaborative, intuitive and engaging. You can tackle message planning, a new initiative, your upcoming Outreach project or even you family vacation. It's a great way to help you follow through and knock out that project.
